| Welcome to Saint Clare Church | | St. Clare Church is located on the shoreline of historical Westerly Rhode Island.
The church was originally built close to the beach, but durring the hurricane of 1938, the church was swept out to sea, all that remained was the foundation, the church organ, a candle holder and the altar card. The only remaining artifacts are the candle holder and the alter card which are preserved behind glass and can be found in the sacristy of the church.
Saint Clare Church under went remodeling in 2000 under the direction of Rev. Peter Cavanaugh. The new pastor Rev. Kenneth J. Suibielski is planning to construct a new parish center for Religious Education and other church related events.
